Full Days & Clubs

What a full-day at Chelsea Pre-Prep looks like…

All second years will stay for 2, 3 or even 4 full-days with the school day running until 3:15 pm. Our afternoon sessions start with lunch! This is a great way for children to develop their social skills, table manners, and to learn to be independent, especially before they move into their schools. We kindly ask parents to pack a healthy, nut-free, and sesame-free lunch. More details on Healthy Eating can be found on the Parents’ Portal, or feel free to contact the Office to learn more about V&ME lunch services.
We know how challenging it can be to find high-quality, engaging activities for young children in London. That’s why we’ve created the Rocket Programme—a dynamic, carefully curated learning experience that keeps children curious, confident, and ready for their next steps at big school. Explore our exciting learning programmes available each day of the week and sign up by filling out our form—spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis!

Our week looks a bit like this…

Monday-Writer’s Corner: Children will develop the essential skills to create and use their early mark making and writing abilities to craft their own stories, encouraging expressive thinking and creativity. The aim is to foster a lifelong love of reading and writing and to become confident mark makers and storytellers.

Tuesday-Maths Mastery: These sessions take our Rocketeers on an exciting journey through numbers, patterns, problem-solving and even financial literacy through a sustainability lens. Using the Maths Mastery approach, children will deep dive into mathematical concepts creatively, building their confidence, fluency, and a genuine love for maths.

Wednesday-Sustainable STEAM: Did you know that ‘creative thinking’ is now part of the PISA assessment? Inspired by the Imagineers, a pioneering group of Scientists, Engineers, Artists, and Designers, children will engage in interdisciplinary sustainable projects that promote innovative thinking and creative problem-solving. Through hands-on fun challenges, we will work on generating diverse and original ideas that we will evaluate and test as a group, then improve through different STEAM domains.

Thursday-Early Reasoning Skills: These sessions will focus on developing both verbal and non-verbal reasoning abilities essential for long-term academic and personal success. Through our Rocket programme, children will tackle creative challenges that spark their curiosity and develop their self-determination, metacognition, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Playful and structured activities will build a strong foundation and a lasting creative habit of mind for future educational milestones!

And don’t forget about our clubs!

After school clubs are carefully curated and run by our own CPP teachers until 4pm. Limited to 8 -10 children per club. Please note that clubs are only for children who already stay for a full day until 3:15pm.

Mondays 3-4pm: Mindfulness club - The ultimate zen time to relax, reflect and unwind. Our aim is to empower children through yoga and mindfulness. We strongly believe education is the most powerful way to change the world for the better and mindfulness can play a huge role in this.

Tuesday 3-4pm: Lego club - Ready, set, LEGO! Children will have loads of fun (and learn a bunch!) as they use LEGO bricks to explore the world of engineering, architecture, robotics, and animation.

Wednesdays 3-4pm: Outdoor club - Come Rain, Hail or Shine we shall be outside! A mix of energetic outdoors activities, games, nature-based craft and team building activities. This club encourages group spirit, friendship and communication whilst learning new skills and having lots of fun and exercise in the fresh air.

Thursdays 3-4pm: Games Club - Play! Ah, the good old friend. After a long day being a Rocketeer, the Games Club is the perfect environment to go back to the basics …Play with friends, get some puzzles up, open some board games and even go around the school on a treasure hunt. Problem solving and building relationships is at the core of this fantastic brain gym!
